Azerbaijan produced around 11.4 million tons of oil and condensate in January-March, a 3.1-percent decrease from the same period in 2008, the State Statistics Committee said.

The Azerbaijani International Operating Company accounted for the greater part of the oil output in the first three months. The company produced 9.5 million tons of oil-and-gas condensate at the Azer-Chiraq-Gunashli fields as compared to 9.6 million tons in 2008.
Azerbaijan's gas output was 4.7 billion cubic meters in January-March, a 20-percent rise from 2008. The Azerbaijani International Operating Company produced about 3 billion cubic meters of gas, as compared to 2.2 billion cubic meters in 2008.
In January-March, Azerbaijan produced about 5.55 billion kilowatts/hours of electricity, a 8.9-percent drop from the same period in 2008.
