Azerbaijan to start liquidation of energy debt to Iran

Azerbaijan will start liquidation of energy debt to Iran in spring of 2008, as reported by the vice president of Azerenerji Marlen Askerov.

He said Azerbaijan's energy debt to Iran is about 300 million kWh.

"We plan to liquidate the debt in parts", he noted.

M.Askerov also announced that Azerbaijan has recently returned 30 million kWh of energy to Georgia.

Thus, Azerbaijan has no energy debts either to Georgia or to Russia.
