Azerbaijan’s largest bank announces staff changes

Head of the Accounting and Budget Department of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Rashad Gasimov has resigned, the bank told Trend Dec.28.

Gasimov has resigned, as during the meeting of the supervisory board of Inter (Baku) football club Dec.24, he was elected the club’s president, said the bank.

Currently, the position of the department head is vacant.

“It is an administrative position and appointment to this post should be approved by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan,” said the bank. “Therefore, this process can take several days.”

Rashad Gasimov has been heading the Accounting and Budget Department since 2011.

The International Bank of Azerbaijan, created in 1992, is the largest bank of Azerbaijan. The state owns 51.07-percent share in the bank’s capital, while 48.93 percent belongs to private shareholders.
