Turkish media: SOCAR may buy Total’s Turkey-based filling station network

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) may buy Total’s Turkey-based filling station network, according to Turkish media.

Recently, Total declared it will leave Turkish market.

Turkey’s filling station market amounts to 80 bln Liras. Total’s share in this market makes 5.3%.

Currently, SOCAR continues the constructions of the "STAR" oil refinery plant in Petkim peninsula in Izmir, as well the first major port "Petlim" in the Aegean region of Turkey.
