He noted that the recent events in the South Caucasus raise concerns. Gul noted that the problems should be settled by way of a dialogue instead of freezing them.
As for his visit to Armenia, he said that it was a chance to discuss the situation in the South Caucasus, Nagorno Karabakh problem and Turkish-Armenian relations. "My task is to normalize the situation in the Caucasus, in the region and between Turkey and Armenia to eliminate problems here. I have great hopes for this", said Gul.
