At a meeting with the Armenian community in France, Nikol
Pashinyan stated that all the parties in modern Armenia acted under the
influence of Dashnaktsutyun.
He included the Republicans, Sargsyan, Kocharyan, and even
the forces in opposition to them. Moreover, according to Pashinyan, they all
competed with each other to prove who was the "best Dashnak" — even
more so than the Dashnaks themselves.
In fact, Pashinyan admitted that all the key political
forces in Armenia had shared and developed Dashnak ideology for many years,
which led the country to its current situation.
This admission could be seen as a candid confession.
However, on the other hand, such remarks by Vovaevich might also signal the
beginning of a new struggle with the "former" forces. Against the
backdrop of constant rumors that the elections in Armenia, scheduled for a year
and a half from now, might be moved forward, Vovaevich’s Dashnak arguments take
on even greater significance.
