Ukrainian Azerbaijani Congress Chairman resigns

State Committee on work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, Nazim Ibrahimov, confirmed the fact in an interview to APA.

He highly appreciated Afadiyev's step and regarded this initiative as a step taken to prevent break-up of the Congress.

Ibrahimov said nobody has been designated to this post yet.

"A conference is likely to be held shortly and a chairman will be designated," he said.
The Congress deputy chairman Akif Gulmammadov showed disloyalty to Afadiyev and stated that Afadiyev was not the chairman any longer.
