AFFA’s decision on Vogts backed

MP Rauf Aliyev, first vice president of football authorities AFFA, has welcomed the extension of Berti Vogts contract as coach of the national team. "I support the decision of the executive committee," Aliyev said.

"We have to make use of the experience and skills of this highly qualified international coach. I always appreciate Berti Vogts work," the MP from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party said. At their meeting on 30 November AFFA's Executive Committee extended Berti Vogts contract as coach of the national team by two years to 2014.
