Baku Fires team for World Series of Boxing opening match announced

Opening match of the Azerbaijani boxing club Baku Fires in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) season 2011/2012 will be held at the Olympic Sports Center Sarhadchi on 12 November.

The rival will be Wuxi Dragons. The members of both teams are already known.

54 kg. Mahammad Abdulhamidov (Azerbaijan) - Yuyu Du (China)

61 kg. Madadi Nagzibekov (Tajikistan) - Zhengzhia Deng (China)

73 kg. Heybulla Mursalov (Azerbaijan) - Liu Wei (China)

85 kg. Ramazan Mahammadov (Azerbaijan) - Yunlong Shi (China)

+91 Kg. Abdulgadir Abdullayev (Azerbaijan) - Joseph Parker (New Zealand)

Baku Fires will include 15 boxers this season. Eight of them already played for the team last year.

The team also includes winners of tickets for 2012 London Olympics Mahammadrasul Majidov and Soltan Migitinov.

The newcomers are bronze winners of European Championship 2010 Nikolai Veselov from Belarus and bronze winner of Asia-2009 Madadi Nagzibekov who will debut this Saturday. Heybulla Mursalov will also debut on 12 November.
