European Rapid Chess Championship has wrapped up in Warsaw. Azerbaijani grandmaster Vugar Hashimov scored 10.5 points in 13 rounds and won bronze medal.
Before the final fight with Ukrainian Vassil Ivanchuk, which ended in a draw, Hashimov took a first line with 10 points. As a result, Hungarian Zoltan Almashi won a gold medal while silver medal went to Ivanchuk.
Both chess players scored 10.5 points each, but outperformed Vugar for additional indicators. The second participant from Azerbaijan Sarhan Hashimov finished 122nd with 8 points.
