06 March 2016 [17:05] - TODAY.AZ

It is a great gift to win a gold medal at World Cup in Baku, Belarusian gymnast Hanna Harchonak told reporters March 6.

The FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics kicked off March 5 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, and will end on March 6.

Athletes from Europe, Japan, Australia and the US are participating in the World Cup.

“It was a bit difficult. First, the finals are held in the morning which is something new for us,” said the gymnast.

“The program is difficult, the rivals are also strong,” said Harchonak. “To be honest, I didn’t expect to win the gold medal.”

“I hoped at best for being in the top three. So, it is a great gift for me,” she added.

The gymnast pointed out that Azerbaijan once again showed the wonderful organizational ability.
