Azerbaijani grandmaster 18th in FIDE ratings

World Chess Federation, FIDE, has announced its ranking list for July, 2014, placing Azerbaijan`s grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov 18th with 2743 points.

Other Azerbaijani grandmasters Teymur Rajabov (2724) and Rauf Mammadov (2659) were listed 28th and 88th respectively.

Norwegian Magnus Carlsen remains the highest-rated chess player on the planet with 2877.
