Italy says 'till the end' with Japan

20 June 2013 [14:07] - TODAY.AZ
Italy knocked Japan out of the Confederations Cup in a thrilling game and booked their semi-final place alongside Brazil. First-half substitute Sebastian Giovinco scored the winner in the 86th minute of an entertaining match at the Arena Pernambuco.

Japan went 2-0 up via Keisuke Honda's penalty and Shinji Kagawa's strike.

But Italy responded in some style when Daniele De Rossi headed in before Atsuto Uchida's own goal and Mario Balotelli's penalty made it 3-2.

Japan equalised via Shinji Okazaki's header and hit the woodwork twice, before Italy's Sebastian Giovinco struck.
