Azeri unifighters scoop 6 medals in European Championship

Azeri unifighters garnered six medals including one gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the European junior Championship in Medyn, Russia.

Azerbaijan was represented by the 8 athletes. Nijat Aliyev (80kg) and Anar Rustamov (60kg) won the gold medals of the tournament. Nail Karimov (75kg), Gahraman Xalafov (65kg) lost only in the final stage and scooped silver medals.

The bronze medals of Azerbaijani team came from Gazanfar Namazov (90kg) and Mahir Isgandarov. Azerbaijan took second place after Russian team for a total medal count.
