Azerbaijani basketball player tranferred to Russian club

Rolandas Alievas, a guard for Azerbaijani national basketball team has been transferred to Russian basketball club "Krasnye Krylya", according to Azerisport.

Thus, Alievas will be playing in the VTB league.

Thus far, 27-year old Alievas is expecting an official agreement from International Basketball Federation to play for Azerbaijani national team.

Alievas has played in VTB leaque prior for Budivelnik. In 11 games he averaged 8.1 points per game, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds.

Alievas also played in Ukrainian Superleague. In 26 games he averaged 9.3 points per game.
