Baku hosts Great Silk Way boxing tournament

The fifth international boxing tournament Great Silk Way kicked off here at the Sarhadchi Olympic Sport Complex on Tuesday. Along with the Azerbaijani boxers, the tournament also drew athletes from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, India, Moldova and Qatar.

Azerbaijan is represented by the highly ranked boxers at the competition. The tournament will define the composition of the national team for the April Olympic qualification competition in Trabzon, Turkey.
