Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry issues statement on mine explosion that killed Azerbaijani soldier - UPDATE

Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence has issued statement on mine explosion that killed a soldier of the national army.

The ministry’s press service told APA that the incident took place near Tapgaragoyunlu village of Goranboy region about 18:00 on December 28.

As a result of mine explosion soldier Sahil Dadashbala Yunisov, 1991, drafted to the army from Gusar region Military Commissariat in October 2009, died at the site.

Seyfullayev Amid Mardan,1992, drafted to the army from Binagadi region Military Commissariat in April 2010, was wounded.

A mine exploded in the line of contact of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops. The incident took place in Terter region of Azerbaijan. As a result of explosion soldier of Azerbaijani army Amid Mardan Seyfullayev, drafted from Lerik region Military Commissariat, died at the site.

Sahil Yusufov, drafted to the army from Gusar region is wounded. He was hospitalized. Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense was not available for comments.
