Azerbaijan adopts document on long-term strategy for hydro-meteorological activity

A document on long-term strategy for hydro-meteorological activity in the CIS countries was adopted at the 22-nd Session of the CIS Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology. It was held in the Azerbaijani town of Gabala, the ministry said.

The report on the research work carried out in 2006-2010 in the field of hydro-meteorology was heard out. A new plan on research projects for 2011-2015 was determined.

The transfer of hydrological and climatic information in the computer programs and codes, exchange of hydrometeorological information, as well as telecommunication systems were also considered. The CIS Interstate Council on Hydrometeorology began its work on Tuesday. Today, the working mission was completed.
