UNIDO General Director toured the historic core of Baku

Today, Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Kandeh Yumkella visited Icheri Sheher, a historic core of Azerbaijan's capital. He was informed about the ongoing reconstruction work here.

Yumkella visited the 15th-century Palace of Shirvanshahs and the 12th–century Maiden Tower, which are considered the country's landmark monuments. He also visited Karvansaray and Muhammed mosque. The Director-General signed the Inner City`s Honorary Guests Book.
