Workshop on protection of human rights held for students in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan adopted various state programs aimed at protecting human rights, Intigam Babayev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports said.

"It's necessary to hold workshops and educational works in the field of human rights in Azerbaijan's regions and towns" Babayev said.

According to the chairman of the Association of Student and Youth Organizations Shahin Ismayilov, young people, which are a guarantor of the future, should become a successor of the country's policy aimed at ensuring human rights. "Young people must first be fair and humane" he said.

Annually June 18 is celebrated as Human Rights Day in Azerbaijan.
