Azerbaijani customs officials prevent money smuggling to Turkey

The Azerbaijani customs officials prevented the smuggling of large sums of euro to Turkey.
During the customs control, a passenger of the Baku-Istanbul flight, Turkish citizen Par Serpil informed the Airport General Customs Administration's officials about her intend to bring  39,900 euros to Turkey, which transferred to her account, the State Customs Committee told Trend.

The officers informed Serpil that this is inconsistent with the requirements of the law when she stated that she wants to take with her an additional amount of currency, other than the amount that was indicated in the customs declarations.

Following the official registration and declaration of registration and passport control, Serpil was invited to undergo personal searches because of suspicious behavior in the waiting room. During the inspection of her hand luggage, the officers found 210,100 euros in addition to stated 39,900 euros.
