Azerbaijani State Border Service detained 71 people in May

In May, border guards prevented 24 attempts to violate the state border. About 36 people were detained while illegally crossing the border. Azerbaijani citizens, three Russian citizens, two Bangladesh citizens, an Iranian citizen and a Georgian citizen.

About 90 people were detained for violation of the border regime. About 77 kilograms of drugs were found and seized in 11 cases last month. As a result of measures against smuggling, a gang was arrested.
