Azerbaijan raises basic part of pensions of WWII participants

The Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan (SSPF) provided one-time financial aid for participants of the WWII of 1941-1945, the fund reported.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to provide one-time financial aid to World War II veterans, their widows, the families of deceased soldiers, and individuals awarded orders and medals for their selfless work in the rear April. 22.

Aliyev ordered the provision of 500 manat in one-time financial assistance to veterans and 200 manat to their widows, the families of deceased soldiers, and individuals awarded orders and medals, including the badge for defending Leningrad during the blockade of the city.

The fund has already completed provision of benefits to the appropriate accounts. The order covered 33,600 persons, of whom 4,250 persons are participants of the WWII.

In addition to one-time financial aid, the basic of pensions of the WWII participants increased under the National Programme for the activities in connection with the 65-th anniversary of Victory WWII" approved by President Aliyev.
