Head of Baku Metro: Cost of subway trip will be revised

Until April 10, Baku Metro will recalculate the cost for subway trip for per passenger and present the figures to the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan, Baku Metro Chief Tagi Ahmadov said at a press conference today.

"According to calculations made earlier, the cost for subway trip for one passenger is 0.49 manat. But until April 10 we will recalculate the cost after which they will be submitted to the Tariff Council," Ahmadov said.

According to Ahmadov, the right to set costs in Metro belongs to the Tariff Council and any decision of the Council will be executed.

According to decision of the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan, from October 1 2009 tariffs on passenger service in the Baku Metro were increased three times - from 0.05 to 0.15 AZN.
