ICRC representatives meet with Azerbaijani soldier in Armenian captivity

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Armenia visited Azerbaijani soldier Rafig Hasanov, who is in captivity in Armenia, Spokeswoman for ICRC Office in Azerbaijan Gulnaz Guliyeva said.

She said ICRC representatives held private meetings with Rafig Hasanov and observed his detention conditions and received his letter to his family.

Guliyeva said the letter had already been delivered to Hasanov's family.

Soldier of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s military unit Rafig Hasanov, 20, was captured by the Armenian military servicemen on Oct. 8, 2008 in the contact line between the Azerbaijani and Armenian troops in Gazakh region.
