"Life skills" program for teenagers presented in Azerbaijan

“Life skills” program for teenagers has been presented in Baku.
The event was organized by Save the Children and Hopeful Future organizations

Director of Save the Children for Azerbaijan Geof Giacomini said Education Ministry, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Youth and Sport Ministry, State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Problems are partners of the program.

The European Union and Statoil support the program.

He noted importance of reviving the private sector for employment of the children leaving boarding schools.

He said the aim of the program is to serve the needs of the youth in need of attention and care through relations with the local NGOs.

The program will cover 3,000 young people aged 14-17 in five regions of Azerbaijan.

Head of Azerbaijani mission of the European Union Roland Kobia said they try to eliminate the social inequality.

According to him, the development of society is a hard process, but continuous steps are being taken in this direction.

Head of the “Life skills” program for teenagers Bahar Arabova, president of the Hopeful Future organization Nabil Seyidov and others gave information about the program.
