Hang-glider crashes in Azerbaijan (UPDATE)

Azerbaijan’s Gakh region prosecutor Akif Rzayev said commission of experts has been set up to investigate the hang-glider crash.

“It is early to speak about causes of the crash yet as it happened a day ago. The reasons will be known as soon as the investigation ends,” Rzayev said.

Gakh police office said no helicopter, but hang-glider has crashed. Engineer, Russian citizen Vladimir Khaydukov, died as a result.

The hang-glider was owned by Khaydukov.

A helicopter crashed at Gum settlement in Gakh region of Azerbaijan roughly at 20:00 on July 26, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said.

Russian citizen Vladimir Khaydukov who was on board died as a result. An investigation is underway on the case.
