Caucasus Muslims Clerical Office Chairman Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagir bahrami and Islamic Studies Center Director Ojat Nijat and nearly 1,000 people attended the prayers.
Shiites and Sunnite’s prayed together. Pashazade said Tezepir will host Friday prayer every week and well-known religious figures will preach.
In his preaching, Allahshukur Pashazade appreciated religious situation in Azerbaijan and called on believers not to forget about Karabakh. He noted there is high tolerance in Azerbaijan.
