Over 4,200 people went missing in Azerbaijan in aftermath of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

State Committee on State Commission on POWS, Hostages and Missing Persons says 30 Azerbaijani citizens are kept as captives in Azerbaijan’s occupied lands.




The data bout 4,211 people was included to the list of missing people as of July 1, 2009, commission’s Web site said. The commission says 1,396 people were released from captivity.

A number of state bodies and international organizations have sent inquiries to learn about fate of 232 people.

The commission received 544 various documents in the first quarter of 2009.
