Azerbaijani president approves National Program on arrangement and celebration of 65th anniversary of Victory in 1941-1945 War

"National Program on arrangement and celebration of the 65th anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 War" was approved in line with the decision of the Council of Heads of CIS countries on Oct. 5 in 2007 on "Preparation for celebration of the 65th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945".

The National program includes items, such as solemn celebrating the 65th anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Wars in the Azerbaijani cities and regions, as well as in governmental organizations, ensuring veterans' participation in a military parade in Moscow in honor of the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great World War II, holding a scientific-practical conference on "Truth and falsehood of the Great Victory", issuing postage stamps and greeting cards in honor of the 65th anniversary, providing ad hoc financial assistance to participants of war, widows of those killed and died after the war and awarding for work in home front during the war.
