Palace of Chess planned to be built in Azerbaijan

"The state program on chess development in Azerbaijan for 2009-2014 envisions construction of the Palace of Chess among all, said Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov and president of the Chess Federation of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov at today's presentation. According to Azad Rahimov, there is a plan to build halls for tournaments and trainings, a pool, a court, a canteen and so on in the palace. "This palace should become a second home to chess players", noted the Minister.

"The palace will become a binding chain for development of this sport in Azerbaijan", noted Elman Rustamov.
