Azerbaijani free wrestlers make splash at European championship in Lithuania

On the second day of the championship, all of the three gold medals went to our sportsmen! Azerbaijani free wrestling has never achieved such success before. The first gold medal went to Zelimkhan Huseynov (60 kg), who won over Russian Adam Batirov in the final. The series of victory was continued by Chamsulvar Chamsulvarayev (74 kilo of weight). He won over Turkish Firat Bininji in the final contest. And the third was received by Khetag Gazumov (96 kilo), who ended the defeat of the rivals. And again a sportsman from Russia-the country, making fashion in world wrestling- was defeated in the final. Gazumov won over another famous wrestler Georgy Ketoyev.

Notably, on the first day the Azerbaijani team won three medals. Thus, our final result is four gold, silver and bronze medals. Azerbaijan won the reassuring first place in the overall score.
