US ambassador to Azerbaijan stresses important of joint combat with avian flue

The United States and Azerbaijan are actively cooperating in different spheres, including in the issues of security provision, said US ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse Thursday at an event on the implementation of the program on combat with spread of avian flue and dangerous diseases among animals, held by the US embassy in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Veterinary Service of Azerbaijan.

"The main component of this issue is also provision of security from different kinds of infectious diseases, including the spread among animals and birds", said she.

Derse stressed importance of implementation of joint efforts, aimed to prevent the spread of avian flue and different infectious diseases among pets.
