Eynulla Fatullayev receives letter of support from Zimbabwe

Yesterday editor-in-chief of the Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Eynulla Fatullayev, held in jail No 12, met his father Emin Fatullayev, according to the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety.
Journalist's father Emin Fatullayev said Eynulla Fatullayev is still receiving letters of support.

"Among them there are letters from representatives of the students and teaching staff of the Cambridge university, Kings college, Reyqeyt school, different youth organizations, public and religious figures as well as Zimbabwe", noted Fatullayev.

Notably, by the verdict of the Court of Grave Crimes, Fatullayev is sentenced to 8.5 years in prison. The editor-in-chief is charged under articles 214.1 (threat of terror), 283.2.2 (inciting national, racial or religious enmity with abuse of powers) and 213.2.2 (tax evasion) of the Criminal Code. The Baku Appellate Court upheld the decision of the court of grave crimes, passed on journalist Fatullayev.
