Сause of explosion of a residential house in Nizami district of Baku revealed

Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan have defined that there are no people under the ruins of the building, destroyed by an explosion, reports Interfax-Azerbaijan with reference to ANS TV channel.

Deputy minister on emergency situation Etibar Mirzayev told on Sunday that concrete plates destroyed by an explosion are being lifted.

Earlier Mirzayev announced that a man and a woman died during the tragedy and six people were injured.

Meanwhile, the Baku prosecutor's office has already revealed the cause of the explosion: workers, holding a repair in flat No 27 on the fourth floor of the second bloc did not switch off the gas when leaving. Gas accumulated in the flat and exploded at 8:00 last Saturday.

The blast fully destroyed five flats of this building. All flats of the three blocs of the six bloc building are not suitable for residence.

The residents of the three blocs of this building were allocated a temporary residence at nearby kindergarten No 172.
