Eynulla Fatullayev's father: "Provocations with participation of either insane people or homosexuals may be arranged against my son"

"A provocation is prepared against Eynulla Fatullayev, editor-in-chief of the Gundelik Azerbaijan and Realny Azerbaijan newspapers, held in correctional facility No 12, said journalist's father Emin Fatullayev at a press conference in the office of the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety.

He said after the European Court of Human Rights accepted Eynulla Fatullayev's claim, he is subjected to stronger pressure.

"On October 1 an incident occurred between Fatullayev and one of the prisoners just because my son reportedly looked askance at him but Fatullayev ignored him. On October 10 the said incident repeated and in the result Fatullayev was placed in the isolation ward for three days", said the editor-in-chief's father.

Emin Fatullayev noted that doctor of correctional facility No 12  told him that the prisoner, who arranged a conflict with Eynulla Fatullatev is insane.

"As far as I know, chief of the operative department of the correctional facility Kerem Shirinov will use either insane or homosexuals for such provocations. This prisoner must be transferred to the medical center, otherwise he can be used for smear purposes. A provocation is prepared against my son", said Fatullayev.

Chief editor of the Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Shahveled Chobanoghlu noted that provocations had been committed against Eynulla Fatullayev earlier, but not it is made in open.
