The Sabail district court of Baku finished the hearing on the claim of imprisoned editor-in-chief of the Azadlyg newspaper Ganimat Zahid against Bail investigation ward No 1, said defender Elchin Sadikhov.

The court was chaired by Famil Nasibov.
According to the defender, the court dismissed the claim against the Bail investigation facility on the return of manuscripts to editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid.
"We are going to file a claim to the Appellate Court and also appeal to the European Court of Human Rights", said the defender,
It should be noted that the claim stressed the need to return the manuscripts to the editor-in-chief of the Azadlyg newspaper Ganimat Zahid, held in correctional facility No 17.
According to the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety, the head of the Bail investigation facility Misir Aliyev took the manuscripts from Zahid under pretense of reading and did not return them to him.
At the meeting with the chief of the isolator Zahid's wife Ayanda Mursaliyev was told that the manuscripts will not return to the journalist, as they contain anti-governmental information, therefore, they intended to compile an act and terminate the work.
