The 4th conference of the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Studies of Islamic states started at Gulustan palace in Baku today.

Day.Az reports that the conference was opened by chief of the humanitarian department of the presidential administration Fatma Abdullazade, who read the greeting of the President of Azerbaijan. The letter states the importance of holding such events in Baku.
"Each year Azerbaijan is enhancing its attention to education and science and allocates larger sums for these purposes", says the letter.
Ministers and official representatives of the conference member-states, who also stressed importance of the development of science and education, also spoke at the event.
On the whole, the conference involves delegations from 41 Islamic states. The event, which is to last until October 8, involves over 200 people.
