Azerbaijani mountain climber Ismail Askerov within an international expedition plans to climb the highest peak of Kazakhstan-Khan Tengri (7010 meters).

According to Day.Az, the peak is in Central Tien Shan on the border with China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Khan-Tengri is the second higher mountain in this northern Asian mountain chain.
Last season our compatriot climbed the highest peak of the former USSR -peak of communism (7495 meters) in Central Pamirs.
