Heydar Aliyev's monument opens in Ulyanovsk, Russia

Day.Az reports with reference to AzerTac that the monument to national leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was opened in Ulyanovsk on July 11.
The author of the five meter memorial, erected in the alley, established in honor of the national leader at the junction of Zhiqulevskaya and Fruktovaya streets in Zasviyazh district of Ulyanovsk is famous sculptor Sergey Bobrakov, one of the authores of the monument to Yuri Gagarin in Moscow. Ulyanovsk mayor Sergey Yermakov passed a decision on erection of the monument in February of 2008.

The opening of the Museum of History and Culture of Azerbaijan was held at Ulyanovsk secondary school No 78 on the same day. A separate stand on the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev, members of the family of the genuine leader, as well as prominent figures of Azerbaijan was set there.
