Imprisoned reporter Eynulla Fatullayev put in lockup

The due information was provided by journalist's father Emin Fatullayev, Day.Az reports.

He said his son was put into a lockup on April 9 and is still kept there.

"He has been placed into the lockup for 10 days. I can not understand why such campaign is carried out against E.Fatullayev. I do not know how to call it", Fatullayev said.

He noted that Eynulla's transfer to the lockup is absurd.

The PR department of the penitentiary system of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice confirmed the fact that announced that the step was due to the violation of inner regime.

The department noted that the official information about Fatullayev's transfer to the lockup will be made public soon.
