A boy, 16, commits suicide

A 16-year-old boy committed suicide in Azerbaijani region of Terter. The boy burnt himself by pouring petrol outside the region court.

Terter prosecutor's office told the APA the boy-Rafim Gurbanov had problems with his stepmother.

"He came into conflict with his stepmother and then committed self-murder outside the court. This incident has nothing to do with the court. Rafim was probably aimed to draw attention by coming near the court," the office said.

Criminal case was launched on article 125 of Criminal Code, and the investigation is underway.
