18000 drug addict live in Azerbaijan

200 mln persons are drug addict over the world, 18 000 of them are in Azerbaijan.

UN Azerbaijan representation law-enforcement bodies department head Mazahir Afandiyev told APA that the average drug addicted person in Azerbaijan is under age of 20.

According to Afandiyev the law adopted in Milly Majlis (parliament) last year allows illegal circulation of drugs and to control it. 2-3 per cent of illegal drugs being in circulation removed from circulation in 2001, now this figure has increased up to 15%.
