Mirkamil Rahimov carried Azerbaijan's national flag in Torino

Mirkamil Rahimov, the head of the delegation of the Azerbaijani national team, carried our national flag during the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Torino.

"Rahimov was chosen, as he was native Azerbaijani. Besides, the team will be presented in Turin by dance pair Christine Freizer-Igor Lukanin. Therefore, Rahimov's candidacy is logical," Ragif Abbasov, the spokesman of the Sports and Youth Ministry, told Trend.

It should be mentioned that the Azerbaijani national team will participate in the Winter Games for third time.
