
The Azerbaijani state budget expenditures on science have increased by 55 percent, Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said today while discussing the bill on the state budget for 2013 and the next three years in the parliament.
"The expenditures on health care in this period increased by 65.6 percent, social security - 72 percent, sports - 82 percent," Sharifov said.
He said that Azerbaijan's state budget revenues next year are projected to hit 19.154 billion manat (34.2 percent of GDP projected for 2013), expenses - 19.81 billion manat (35.2 percent of GDP).
It is expected that in 2013 the revenues will exceed the planned indices as of 2012 by 2.116 billion manat, or 12.4 percent, actual indices as of 2011 - by 3.453 billion manat, or 22 percent.
The expenditures in 2013 will increase by 12.1 percent compared to 2012 and by 28.7 percent compared to 2011.
The share of budget revenues in the country's GDP will increase by one percentage point compared to the predicted data as of late 2012, expenditures - by 0.9 percentage points.
"The state budget deficit is predicted at 656 million manat (1.1 percent of GDP) compared to the forecast for 2012 at 634 million (1.2 percent of GDP)," he said.
