If the parliamentary elections in Georgia are violated or interfered and this prevents the holding of the elections in an open and competitive sphere, the U.S will react harshly to this. This statement was made by U.S. Ambassador John Bass in Kakheti.
He stressed that the population must have confidence in the elections and electoral administration. "Special attention must be paid to the voter lists," he said. "The procedures must be observed during the election period and election day." John Bass also touched on the recommendations of the Venice Commission on the Electoral Code project.
