Family type children's home opened in Georgia

The Georgian and Polish first ladies Sandra Roelofs and Anna Komorowska opened the first family type children's home in the Tbilisi district of Gldani.

About 10 children deprived of parental care, aged 6-18 live in this children's home.Roelofs said that the children's homes will be transferred to the small family-type homes within the reform. Such house was opened with financial support from the U.S and Polish governments.

Komorowska said that Poland was in the same situation 20 years ago. The U.S helped Poland that period. "These houses will allow children to grow up in a family atmosphere," Komorowska said.
