MEPs to hold meeting at Georgian parliament

A delegation of the European Parliament began a meeting at the Georgian Parliament on Thursday. MEPs held the first meeting with a group from the opposition Christian Democratic Movement.

The delegation includes representatives from the European People's Party, which is a partner of the Georgian ruling party, the United National Movement and the opposition party, the Christian Democratic Movement.

According to the Georgian Parliament, MEPs will meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Deputy Justice Minister Tina Burjaliani, Deputy Foreign Minister Tornike Gordadze and National Security Council Secretary Giorgi Bokeria. They will also visit the Justice House in Rustavi and the European Union Monitoring Mission's (EUMM) Office. The delegates will leave Georgia on Friday morning.
