Iran seeks to narrow relations with UK

The Iranian Parliament has approved on Wednesday the double-urgency bill on narrowing relations with the UK, Mehr News Agency reported.

The bill was adopted with the majority of votes. In particular, 162 MPs voted for the bill, five were against, while six MPs abstained.The U.S., UK and Canada announced new sanctions targeting Iran's banks and oil industry on Monday.

The resolution followed IAEA General Director's Yukiya Amano report, issued on November 8, which reads that the "information indicates Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of nuclear explosive devices."
