Tbilisi to host 8th annual South Caucasus Media Conference

OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović will open the 8th annual South Caucasus Media Conference in Tbilisi on 20 October.

The two-day event will provide a forum for discussion on Internet governance and media  pluralism.

More than 70 journalists, representatives of non-governmental media organizations, parliamentarians, government officials and academics from Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, as well as international experts will discuss the role of the Internet in promoting pluralism in the OSCE region and the South Caucasus.

By the end of the conference participants are expected to draft and adopt recommendations in a conference declaration.
